Reiki
I have received my First Degree attunement, and the
Second Degree attunement in the Dr. Usui method of Reiki.
I have included a little bit about the
history of Reiki (ray - key) and how it works, below. I have also included a brief
description of each level a Reiki Practitioner can achieve. There is
also a link below that will lead to a brief description of the seven major
Chakras.
Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing art
that was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the mid 1800's which led him on
a quest to discover the 1000 year old tradition of healing.
The word Reiki means Universal Life
Energy. It is defined as being that power which acts and lives in all created
matter.
By placing one's hands on oneself, or
another person, this allows the energy to flow through the individual. Reiki
energy comes from the Universal Life Energy, as an extremely powerful healing
energy, and is one of the few forms of healing that can be used to heal oneself.
It does not interfere with traditional medical treatments, and facilitates
benefits.
Reiki speeds the healing process, and
provides a method of restoring energy when one is ill, undergoing medical
treatment, or is in recovery.
Reiki healing is a pure energy form. When
it is combined with the sincere desire of a healer who is willing to bring about
a cleansing within a person's emotional and spiritual consciousness, a total
healing can occur.
Reiki is a powerful tool for use at
anytime, or anywhere, for on-the-spot stress relief, pain relief, and as an
energy boost. It is a holistic, self-help technique for directing and utilizing
the natural life energy. No special environment, or equipment is needed. Age is
unimportant. By following the steps taught by a trained Reiki Master/teacher,
the practitioner is able to direct the healing energy of Reiki to meet the
individual needs of each client.
Reiki supports the body's natural ability
to heal itself, revitalizes the body and soul, cleanses the body of toxins,
works on animals and plants, adjusts itself according to the present needs of
the recipient, loosens up blocked energy, balances the body's energies,
re-establishes spiritual equilibrium and mental well-being, functions on all
levels (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual), and best of all, is extremely
pleasant.
There are three levels of Reiki. To
be qualified in a level the trainee must take the necessary training, with a
Reiki Master, and receive the corresponding Attunement. Each Attunement
builds the power and ability of the student.
REIKI
I
The
student is empowered with a transfer of energy (Attunement) that opens him/her
up to the universal ray we call Reiki. The "Yellow Emperor's Classic of
Internal Medicine" states there are 32 levels of Chi, or Ki (Chi is another
name for life force). Reiki is more powerful, a higher frequency, and is 50%
more effective than other forms of Chi.
Reiki I empowers you to become a facilitator for channelling this healing
energy. Reiki I teaches hand positions, ethics, principles, precepts, the chakra
system, and healer/healee relationships. Ample time is allowed for hands-on
experience to develop these skills.
REIKI
II
The
student receives another transfer of energy (Attunement) which further
opens him/her to the Reiki Ray on the etheric level. Symbols are taught which
enable the student to send energy beyond time and space, to perform distant
healing and also to work on the emotional and mental aspects of the body.
REIKI
III - MASTER/ TEACHER TRAINING
This
level is available to only the serious student who is dedicated to the
traditions and teachings of Usui Reiki and who wishes to teach others. Reiki III
aligns you to the Teaching Reiki Ray and is a clear call for service.
