Aromatherapy massage

I have studied Aromatherapy Massage techniques as well as having studied the properties of the Oils for several years, and feel quite confident in their many uses.

Below is some information pertaining to the Essential Oils used and to the actual massage.

The term "Essential Oils" refers to the extracts of plants, such as lavender, rose and pine. Essential Oils have many healing properties such as the uplifting properties the Citrus Oils, and the calming properties of the Floral Oils.  It's possible to find an Essential Oil with disinfectant properties for just about any ailment including  cuts and bruises, lice, acne and rashes.  The Oils can be anti-depressant, stimulating, relaxing, deodorant, and aphrodisiac, to name a few of the many properties.

Aromatherapy massage is the application of the Essential Oils to the body through a gentle massage treatment.  The Oils are applied to the body and head to help the client feel complete relaxation.  Essential Oils are applied during a massage that concentrates on the nerve centres of the back and the face.

An aromatherapy treatment uses a gentle but firm touch.  The treatments that I offer are provided in a soothing environment, that helps remove the everyday stresses from the client's mind, and allows them to relax and enjoy the treatment they are receiving.

Aromatherapy massage puts the body into the "rest and repair" state allowing the client's body to take a break from the normal ups and downs of life.  As with any massage circulation will be stimulated, which helps the body to clear any waste or toxins from the blood and tissue.

A deeper pressure can also be used, to combine the benefit of the Healing Oils and various massage techniques.
